We have worked with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club for a number of years, fulfilling a range of design needs, and have become a trusted creative partner to the marketing department. After working with the team to create and launch their gutsy #GoGlos campaign, we have developed a long-term, productive partnership which means we can work on everything from event campaigns to sponsorship collateral.

This year we were asked once again to create a flexible suite of social media content that their comms team can use easily and effectively in-house.We worked closely with the club to identify a wishlist of social media content and assets that they could use and adapt from build-up to match day. This included a wide range of social media posts covering individual scores and milestones, team results, end-of-day round ups, and more.

After careful planning with the marketing team, our photographer and filmmaker headed down to the club to meet members of the squad and start snapping. It was a lively and action-packed day in which we took more than 1,000 shots, all art directed by our team. The shot list included photographs of 20 players in a variety of portraits, action shots and celebration poses. Multiple costume changes ensued as these shots were duplicated across three different competition kits.

We always work with our clients to add value so the natural step was to create material that they could use around the ground on match-day. We took the opportunity to film players performing the signals for fours, sixes and the powerplay. This footage was then edited and used to create a suite of 10-second animated stings, which will be projected on the big screen to enhance the match-day experience for spectators. The assets are also used on GCCC’s social media channels.
